Christopher Higgins appeals the trial court’s denial of his plea in bar and motion to dismiss on constitutional speedy trial grounds.
Higgins was arrested on March 17, 2007, and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, based upon acts alleged to have occurred on December 6, 2006; he was formally indicted on those charges three days later, on March 20, 2007.
