BAKER, J.
James Davis Walker (appellant) appeals from his bench trial conviction by the Circuit Court of the County of Chesterfield (trial court) for aggravated sexual battery in violation of Code § 18.2-67.3. He contends that the trial court erroneously permitted the six-year-old victim’s aunt to testify to statements made to her by the victim the day after the alleged assault occurred.
