Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of St. Lawrence County (Richards, J.), rendered July 20, 2009, upon a verdict convicting defendant of the crime of assault in the second degree.
On the evening of October 26, 2008, Matthew Rivera was walking with several other students from the State University of New York at Canton in the Village of Canton, St. Lawrence County, when they were confronted by a group that included defendant and codefendants Darryl Tucker and Roody Dorfeuille.
