J., dissenting. The plaintiffs are public school teachers of New Hanover County, and made contracts with the defendant board of education not later than April, 1926, for services for the year 1926-27. In accordance with such contracts plaintiffs were to render services beginning 15 September, 1926. Relying upon said contracts the plaintiffs entered upon the discharge of their duties on 15 September, 1926, and taught in the public schools of New Hanover County in the districts for which they were respectively employed for the full term of nine months, and each of plaintiffs has fully complied…
