On March 15, 1996, plaintiffs, Larry and Shirley Wheeler, filed medical negligence, loss-of-consortium, and punitive damages claims against defendants Se-Hwan Whang, M.D., Aniano B. DeJosef, M.D., Henry A. Wise, M.D., Marietta Memorial Hospital, and Ohio Urology, Inc. Plaintiffs’ complaint alleged that defendants were negligent in diagnosing Larry Wheeler with adenocarcinoma and in performing an unnecessary radical retropubic prostatectomy as a result of that diagnosis.
