In related actions to recover damages for personal injuries, etc., the plaintiffs in Action No. 1 appeal (1), as limited by their brief, from so much of an order of the Supreme Court, Suffolk County (Doyle, J.), dated August 16, 1999, as granted the cross motion of the defendants in Ac*294tion No. 1 for summary judgment dismissing the complaint in Action No. 1, and (2) from an order of the same court dated December 21, 1999, which denied their motion which was denominated as one to renew and reargue but which was, in fact, to reargue the cross motion for summary judgment.
