LUMBARD, Chief Judge.

The Glidden Company appeals from a judgment dismissing its libel in admiralty to recover damages for the alleged breach of four charter parties between it and Hellenic Lines, Limited. The suit, brought about by Hellenic’s admitted failure to perform the contracts because of the closing of the Suez Canal on November 2, 1956 in the Israeli-Egyptian war, presents an interesting problem in the. law of frustration of contracts, as well as certain ancillary problems of contract and agency law.
