— The judgment appealed from is for $500 and costs, in favor of the plaintiff and against defendant, for damages to pianos shipped from Yew York to Seattle, in the transportation of which defendant was an intermediate carrier. The ear in which the pianos were shipped was delivered to, and accepted and sealed by, the Yew York, Yew Haven & Hartford Railroad Company, which issued and delivered to Ludwig & Company its bill of lading.
