delivered the opinion of the court:

The defendant was convicted after a jury trial for the offenses of aggravated battery and armed robbery. He was sentenced to concurrent terms of 25-50 years for armed robbery and 3-9 years for aggravated battery. He appeals.

Defendant raises three contentions in this appeal. The first is that the trial court erred in admitting a photograph, or “mug shot,” of the defendant bearing the legend “POLICE DEPARTMENT WAUKEGAN, ILL.
