The plaintiff commenced his action in the district court of McIntosh county for recovery upon a contract alleged to have been entered into between the parties on March 11, 1916, wherein the plaintiff undertook to represent the defendant in all legal matters for a period of one year from the date of contract, and for which services the defendant became bound to pay the plaintiff the sum of $1,200, or $100 per month.

The defendant filed her answer in the cause, alleging, in substance: (a) That she was a full-blood, restricted Creek Indian, and unable to read the English…
