POSNER, Circuit Judge.
The district judge dismissed this suit— which had been brought under RICO (the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, 18 U.S.C. §§ 1961 et seq.)— on the pleadings because he thought the plaintiff did not have standing. 738 F.Supp. 314 (N.D.Ind.1990). The complaint alleges the following facts, which we must take as true for purposes of the appeal.
