*125 Patty Meadows ("Defendant") was convicted on 7 April 2016 of one count each of trafficking opium by sale, by delivery, and by possession. The events leading to Defendant's arrest and conviction occurred on 14 September 2011.

In early September 2011, multiple sources informed the Madison County Sheriff's Office that Defendant's husband, Troy Meadows ("Troy"), was selling large quantities of prescription pills.
