Adam Holdings, L.L.C. is the tax deed holder of certain property in Marion County. The immediate past title holders were George Thomas and Christine Marie Thomas, husband and wife. The property is currently in the possession of Matthew Thomas Trucking, L.L.C., 1 under an unrecorded lease agreement with George Thomas. Adair Holdings brought this action under Iowa Code chapter 646 (2011) to obtain possession of the property. 2 The district court denied relief.
