Appellant, Edgar Holland, was convicted in the circuit court of Pettis county, Missouri, of murder in the first degree and sentenced to life imprisonment. An appeal was duly perfected.

The victim of the alleged murder was the wife of appellant. At the trial of the case, as on this appeal, the principal contention of appellant was, and is, that the evidence was insufficient to sustain a conviction.
