OPINION OF THE COURT

GILLEY, Judge:

Pursuant to his pleas, appellant was found guilty of one specification of using cocaine and three specifications of distributing cocaine in violation of Article 112a, Uniform Code of Military Justice [hereinafter UCMJ], 10 U.S.C. § 912a (Supp.II *6871985). The military judge sitting as a general court-martial sentenced appellant to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement for nine months, forfeiture of $300.00 pay per month for nine months, and reduction in grade to Private E-l. The convening authority approved the sentence.
