This is a bill in equity to establish a subcontractor’s lien (G. L. [Ter. Ed.] c. 254, § 4) in favor of the plaintiff, hereinafter called Valentine, for materials furnished to the defendant Thibeault, the principal contractor, for the construction of a house on land of the defendants Antonio and Josephine E. Gianetti situated in Springfield.
