This action was for an absolute divorce on the ground of adultery. The defense was in effect that the alleged adultery of the defendant was committed with the consent, connivance, privity, and procurement of the plaintiff, a denial of the plaintiff’s allegations of adultery, and a counterclaim setting up-*267adultery upon the part of the plaintiff. The issues in the action were referred to a referee to hear and determine.
