This is an action for a divorce. The defendant appeared and by Ms answer denied the material allegations of the complaint. By consent, the issues were referred to a referee to hear, try and determine. The referée found the controverted facts in favor of the plaintiff, and directed judgment dissolving the marriage, and awarding to the.plaintiff the costs of the action and alimony at the rate of $4,000 per annum.
