This is an appeal by the defendant from a judgment entered in the circuit court in favor of the plaintiff. The action was commenced in a justice’s court, and the summons issued by the justice is as follows: “You and each of you are *232hereby summoned and required to appear before me * * * to answer to the complaint of the above-named plaintiff, J. G.
