The trial of the defendants on an indictment for murder commenced on the 21st day of October, 1891, and on that day there was present a full panel of jurors drawn, as prescribed by statute, before the first day of the term of court. On the 22d day of October the regular panel of jurors was exhausted on account of challenges in the selection of a jury for the trial of the defendants, and the court ordered the clerk to draw the names of one hundred additional jurors from the jury box, returnable forthwith.
