The prosecutor, the petitioner below, was blinded by a powder blast, depriving him of four-fifths of the use of both eyes, while in the employ of the defendant. The accident occurred on the 15th day of December, 1913. The trial judge found that the prosecutor was then earning $1.82 a day, and made seven da3rs in a week, and, according to the proof introduced by the defendant, made one hundred and eighty-one days out of a possible one hundred and ninety-seven, from June 1st to December 15th, 1913, averaging $11.76 a week.
