|2On September 30, 2008, the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office filed a bill of information charging defendant, Issac Newman, with possession of cocaine in violation of La. R.S. 40:967(C). On October 21, 2008, defendant entered a plea in ab-sentia of not guilty.1 On March 3, 2009, defendant withdrew his not guilty plea and pled guilty in open court.
