This case is before the court upon cross-motions for summary judgment filed by defendants Robert L. Shiffler and Mortgage Investors Corp. (“Investors”) against plaintiffs, Montalena Alien-Baker and Michael Baker (the “Bakers”) and by the Bakers against Shiffler and Investors. Also before the court is a motion for summary judgment filed by Standard Federal Bank (“Standard Federal”) against the Bakers.
