OLIVER, Judge:

This case is the result of the tragic, unintended death of a young Sailor at the hands of his best friend. On the evening of 6 January 1995, the two men senselessly engaged in a “game” similar to Russian roulette in their barrack’s room at Naval Air Station, Whidbey Island. While the victim was talking on the telephone, the appellant spun the cylinder of the .32-caliber revolver a final time. The appellant pointed the weapon toward his friend and pulled the trigger.
