At first look, the $75,000 which the plaintiff John Evangelista seeks to compel the defendants to accept for their stock in closely held family corporations varies disquietingly from the $191,000 value placed on that stock by the stockholders at a meeting held July 3, 1986. Upon further examination, there is less to the variance then meets the eye. The trial judge, after finding the facts, rightly ordered a sale at the lower price.
