Plummer v. Wilson

This is an action in assumpsit brought by the owners of certain coal lands in Lackawanna County against George H. Wilson, upon a sealed instrument whereby he guaranteed the prompt payment of all rents and royalties due the plaintiffs under a lease of these lands to the Wilson Coal Company, a corporation, of which defend ant was president. The lease granted the right to mine and remove the coal under these lands, the lessee to pay a semimonthly rent or royalty for each ton of coal mined and removed therefrom.
