Background
Plaintiff Kimberly J. Crocco worked for defendant Xerox Corporation (“Xerox”) and participated in its employee benefits plan (the “Plan”). She received inpatient treatment at the Rye Psychiatric Hospital Center from February 2 through June 5, 1990, and sought benefits under the Plan to cover the costs of her hospitalization.
