This appeal involves the power of the Conrt to modify a decree of divorce providing for child support and alimony. The decree awarded custody of a minor daughter of the parties to appellee Muriel Elizabeth Pendergrass who was granted an absolute divorce-. The decree required appellant to pay $30.00 per week “for the support of Muriel Elizabeth Pendergrass and their minor child” and further provided:

“The home place shall belong to the two of them as tenants in common but Muriel Elizabeth Pendergrass shall have the exclusive and uninterrupted possession of the same for two years from the entry…
