Defendant Gary Roberson (“Roberson”) pled guilty to the September 4, 2003 armed robbery of the Plaza Bank in Chicago and, on October 12, 2005, the court sentenced him to 85 months imprisonment. Specifically, the court imposed the mandatory consecutive 84-month sentence for violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(c)(l)(A)(ii) (knowingly possessing a firearm in furtherance of, and using, carrying, and brandishing a firearm during, and in relation to, a crime of violence), charged in Count II, and an additional one-month sentence for the…
