Petitioner Dominion Resources, Inc. is the surviving parent corporation in a merger of two already quite diverse companies, one (“Dominion”) primarily an electric power company, the other (Consolidated Natural Gas Company (“CNG”)) a natural gas pipeline with upstream and downstream affiliates.
