This suit was brought by appel-lee to recover damages for personal injuries sustained on account of the alleged negligence of appellant, for whom he was then working as a car inspector and repairer at Valley Junction. The negligence alleged consisted of the failure of appellant to furnish him with a reasonably safe place to work, in this, that it permitted a ditch running across a portion of its yards at said place to become and remain so obscured from view by a rank growth of Johnson grass, that he, while in the discharge of his duties carrying a draft rod across said yard, stepped into said…
