I respectfully dissent. Three defendants remained in this case at the time of the trial and only two suffered adverse verdicts of liability and damages: Tele-dyne Continental Motors, Inc. and Tele-dyne Technologies (collectively Teledyne), which manufactured the motor that failed on the doomed aircraft, and Precision Air-motive Corporation (Precision), which manufactured the faulty carburetor — the only carburetor that could be used on the Teledyne motor.
