Joyce DiPippo (Mrs. DiPippo) and Trudy DiPippo (collectively, plaintiffs) 1 appeal from a Superior Court judgment, after a bench trial, in favor of the defendants, Louis and Rebecca Sperling, in this adverse-possession action. The plaintiffs argue that the trial justice erred in holding that an agreement, in which the Sperlings granted Mrs. DiPippo permission to place a hammock on a disputed parcel of land, was a concession to the defendants’ superi- or title in that land.
