WILLIAMS, Circuit Judge.

On May 18, 1999, a grand jury in the Eastern District of North Carolina indicted Benjamin General for three counts arising from his involvement in a drug trafficking ring. Pursuant to a written plea agreement, General pleaded guilty. General challenges the validity of his guilty plea and his sentence on several grounds.
