OPINION
GUADALUPE RIVERA, Justice.
M.A.S., a juvenile, appeals the juvenile court referee’s order of commitment to the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD). For the reasons that follow, we affirm.
BACKGROUND
On December 1, 2011, M.A.S. was adjudicated for committing the offense of injury to a child, a state jail felony. See Tex. Penal Code Ann. § 22.04 (West 2011). In July 2012, M.A.S. was placed on supervised probation under the terms and conditions of intensive supervised probation.
