David Blackwell, defendant below, is the appellant here. He will be referred to herein as the defendant.

The defendant was charged with murder as a codefendant with one Arnold Thomassen, in an Information filed by the district attorney of Washoe County, Nevada, on December 17, 1947. On December 22, 1947, the defendant Blackwell entered -a plea of guilty to the information, before Honorable Taylor H. Wines, district judge of the Fourth judicial district of the State of Nevada, sitting as a judge in the Second judicial district. The plea was accepted…
