A jury convicted Donte Kidd of dealing in cocaine as a Class A felony, conspiracy to deal in cocaine as a Class A felony, and possession of cocaine as a Class B felony. The jury also adjudged Kidd a habitual offender. The trial court sentenced Kidd to concurrent forty-year terms for dealing and conspiracy and enhanced the dealing charge by thirty years for the habitual offender adjudication. The trial court entered no sentence on the possession charge.
