I disagree with the majority’s decision to remand this cause to the circuit court for that court to conduct an evidentiary hearing regarding Aaron Coleman’s allegation that his counsel suffered from a conflict of interest. Specifically, the record and pleadings indicate that the circuit court inquired into a possible conflict of interest and, according to defense counsel, determined that “no confidential information was acquired in the representation of the Cl that counsel could use on behalf of [Coleman] in this matter[; therefore,] no conflict of interest existed.” (C. 50.)
