This is an action on the case begun by appellant, Catherine Gehrig, administratrix of the estate of John Gehrig, deceased, against the Chicago & Alton Railroad Company, to recover damages for the benefit of the next of kin of John Gehrig, whose death is averred to have been caused by the negligence of the appellee. The negligence averred against appellee - is general negligence in running a train and failure to give either of the required statutory signals.' On a trial before a jury a verdict was returned in favor of the appellee, on which judgment was rendered.
