WOODALL, Justice.
Tora Arthur appeals from a judgment entered on a jury verdict for Samuel Bolen and Julie Bolen, husband and wife, in the Bolens’ personal-injury action against Arthur. We affirm.
I. Factual Background
For the purposes of this appeal, the following pertinent facts are not in dispute. The Bolens purchased a house that Arthur had built. There was an attic in the house that could be accessed by a pull-down ladder Arthur had installed. Mr. Bolen was injured when the ladder separated and fell from the attic opening to which it was attached as he was climbing into the attic.…
