Following a guilty plea to the offense of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 95½, par. 11 — 501(a)), the defendant, Emory C. Hayslette, was placed on court supervision for a period of one year, beginning December 3, 1979.
