On September 11, 2008, Roberto Muñoz Arill (“Muñoz Arill”), Laura Rebeca Ayoroa (“Ayoroa”), their conjugal partnership, Julio Muñoz Delgado (“Muñoz Delgado”), Frayda Maiz Rivera (“Maiz Rivera”), and others (collectively, “the Muñoz plaintiffs”) sued Esso Standard Oil Company of Puerto Rico, Inc.
