OPINION OF THE COURT

GONZALES, Judge:

Pursuant to mixed pleas, the appellant was found guilty, by a military judge sitting as a general court-martial, of larceny and making and uttering a check without sufficient funds in violation of Articles 121 and 123a, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 921 and 923a (1988) [hereinafter UCMJ]. The appellant was sentenced to a dishonorable discharge, confinement for six years, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, a fine of $5,000.00, and reduction to Private El.
