Control Data Corporation brought this suit under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA), 42 U.S.C. § 9601 et seq., and the Minnesota Environmental Response and Liability Act (MERLA), Minn.Stat. § 115B.01 et seq. Following a bench trial, the District Court1 found the Schloff defendants — S.C.S.C.
