On October 26, 1975, Franklin Skinner had an operation for removal of a kidney stone located in his left ureter. The operation was performed at Doctors Memorial Hospital by Drs. Coleman and Nincic of the Coleman-Nincic Urology Clinic, P.A. A No. 8 polyethylene catheter was placed in the ureter during the operation to aid healing. Subsequent to the operation, appellant experienced considerable pain and discomfort in the lower abdominal region. On November 25,1975, an x-ray was taken, revealing that the catheter had migrated into the bladder, where it became twisted and tangled.…
