Defendant Los Angeles Transit Lines appeals from a default judgment in favor of plaintiff rendered in a personal injury action in the sum of $3,500. The default was entered because of defendant’s refusal and fail ure to answer certain interrogatories propounded by plaintiff pursuant to section 2030, Code of Civil Procedure.

That section provides, in subdivision (b) : “Interrogatories may relate to any matters which can be inquired into under subdivision (b) of Section 2016 of this code, and the answers may be used to the same extent as provided in subdivision (d) of Section 2016 of this code…
