Plaintiff Resource Investors Group (RIG), an Illinois partnership, filed suit in the Northern District of Illinois against Natural Resources Investment Corporation (NRIC), the operator of certain oil and gas interests, POM Corporation (POM), a drilling concern, International Mining & Petroleum Co.
