In this action the plaintiff, a New York attorney, seeks to recover compensation for legal services rendered defendants, husband and wife. He is not a member of the bar in this state. Their meeting grew out of a former family relationship and the fact that they were summer neighbors in Westport, Connecticut. The services were primarily rendered in this state and dealt with freight transportation problems concerning which the defendant Edward Amsel was well versed.
