This suit was brought by the Texas Agricultural Association of Edinburg, a voluntary association of taxpayers organized under the laws of Texas, and certain individual taxpayers, against Hidalgo County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1, hereafter called District, and the trustees of the Joe Abraham estate, hereafter called Trustees, to cancel a note in the amount of $21,048.82, given by the District to the Trustees, on the grounds it was invalid under the law of Texas and without consideration.
