These proceedings were originated by the filing of petitions in the Orphans Court of Hunterdon County on behalf of Tristram Campbell, Ida Campbell and William F. Bronson in which each claimed and sought the recovery of a legacy under the tenth article of the last will and testament of one William Morgan Savin, deceased. The controversial issues were summarily heard and it was decreed that a legacy had been bequeathed by the testator to each petitioner and the executors were directed to pay the legacies, costs and specified counsel fees.
